post·pone Function: transitive verb Inflected Form(s): post·poned; post·pon·ing Etymology: Latin postponere to place after, postpone, from post- + ponere to place -- more at POSITION Date: circa 1520 1 : to put off to a later time (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
Life, as you speak of it, is the postponing of death. However, death is relative depending on religious and/or spiritual beliefs. As death is subjective, it cannot be definitely postponed. A priori, life cannot be the postponing of death. As a result, your statement must be negated based on the following conclusions.

why can't death be postponed? personally I dont believe in fate. i believe we are in controlof our own lives and our own end to a certin extent. Let's say theres a suicidal person and they know that there is a gun under there parents bed. they are making a concious desion not to take there life away there4 postponing death and so there exsitance IS postponing death. so life itself can be the act of postponing...

Death is easily postponed by he who chooses not to come within two feet of myself
